We are developing a template for a simple map and/or flow chart, written in accessible language, with visuals as appropriate to help migrants navigate Scotland’s advice and support landscape more easily.

It will have both pre-populated elements and elements that can be readily adapted for local areas.  It will cover different dimensions of service provision/need and be relatively easily kept up to date but with enough detail to be relevant and useful.

The guidance will help migrants, especially those more newly arrived to Scotland, or to a new area in Scotland, to overcome some of the barriers to accessing support which our research has revealed.

We envisage it as something that employers/housing providers/local authorities and advice services could hand out, as well as being accessed online.
